In early October the 2010 AMSA ARC/UCD Pre-Medical Conference will take place on the UC Davis campus. The conference strives to provide all pre-meds with the opportunity to hear directly from professionals at every stage of the health profession track, including representatives from over 100 medical schools, current medical students, and dozens of deans and admission specialists. By becoming a conference leader, you will have the extended opportunity to work directly with many of these individuals while honing your own leadership skills. Positions are being offered to motivated students who wish to be apart of this year's planning team.

The AMSA ARC/UC Davis Cancer Center Community College Research Program iis a unique opportunity for community college students to conduct research and be mentored by physician scientists at the UC Davis Cancer Center.

• Do you want to sit in a real medical school classes and experience the learning process at one of the top medical schools in the country?
• Can you imagine yourself there one day?
• Do you want to meet medical students from UCSF?

Then you must attend this all day event at UCSF School of Medicine where you will sit in classes with UCSF Medical students, hear lectures, attend small group discussions, participate in an anatomy lab, and watch a presentation from the director of financial aid, and a presentation from the Dean of Admission at UCSF! This is a once a year experience that it should not be missed. We will not be doing it again until 2011.

The AMSA ARC/UC Davis Health System Department of Surgery Pre-Medical Surgery Intern Program is a unique opportunity for pre-medical students to shadow faculty, residents, interns, and medical students in the nationally recognized UC Davis Health System Department of Surgery.

We will be selling premium Uvex Stealth™ lab goggles (approved by ARC and UC Davis) at discount prices between January 16 and January 30 in the ARC Chemistry Department Hallway (Science Building) in front of the Chemistry Stockroom.
